Therapy

What is Therapy?

Therapy, also called psychotherapy or counselling, is the process of meeting with a therapist to resolve problematic behaviours, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues, or somatic responses (sensations in the body). Beginning therapy can be a big step toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the best life possible—no matter what challenges you may be facing. Through therapy, you can change self-destructive behaviors and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve your relationships, and more.

Our Story

Everyone has a story, and your therapist wants to hear yours. The therapeutic space is an excellent opportunity to give a full background of who you are and your experiences. Though no one can tell you exactly what your therapy process will look like, the therapist and you will establish clear boundaries and goals for your therapy and the steps you will take to be able to explore your feelings and experiences in a professional, confidential, space.

You can expect that your therapist will be someone who will support you while listening attentively, models a healthy and positive relationship experience gives you feedback and follows ethical guidelines. Therapy should be tailored to you and your experiences.
